No spring hunt for me but, if I don't draw a moose tag I might try to put together a bear hunt this fall.

Had a trip planned for the second week of Sept until my guide called me and said that that week was the full moon, so I dropped back one more week. 3rd week of Sept. I'll be west of Bangor,Me for 10 days.

Nah, I have the whole camp booked for my guys up there and want them to have the best possible hunt we can, so the guide said it would be better the following week. He said a few yrs ago they did alright, nothing big mind you, but the moon does play a roll with them feeding during shooting hrs. LOL!!!!!

Do you drive that trip? If so how long does it take? I was east of Banger and I think it took 18 hrs to get home, 1064 miles. Long day diving home.

Yep, I have driven it twice now. It takes me about 24hrs to get to Philly and then another 8-10 from there to the northern most camp in Maine. This one will be a bit shorter, maybe only 6 from Philly. I usually leave here on Wed morning and get there Fri mid day. Get all the in-laws stuff packed in my truck and then head north on Sat morning spend the night in a hotel and head to camp Sun morning. Longest part of the trip is W.Va. They have no sense of humor for radar detectors. I drive cause no matter how hard I try, I just can't cram the sink AND bathtub in my dufflebag.  LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I know what you mean about driving. I've only done one hunt where I went by air. That was to BC. Man if I would have drove that it would have took 3 or 4 days one way.

I do plan on flying to Florida next year to turkey hunt. With just a week off I figured we better fly. First I have to find a place to turkey hunt.

Good luck bear hunting!
