I'll only put this up one time ... y'all are adults, and perfectly capable of decidin' where & whut y'all wanna hunt ... merely FYI, so y'all know whut's available here in our fair state ...
If memory serves, the NR licensing process will cost $215, total ... other tags later on will be available, for the rifle season or "second/third/fourth" concurrent seasons (which are for does, and usually -- after a certain number of lottery draws -- are available for about $55 each ... $15 of that above amount is "basic" items, which only need to be purchased one time, regardless of how many seasons/species are hunted ...
These usually sell out by late March or early April, but they (usually) don't sell out (with a lottery required), before the opening day of sales, March 1st ... (the archery season runs from early September (the 3rd, this year, which is also the opening day of Pronghorn archery season) to early January -- continuously -- no breaks due to Youth Deer, Rifle, Muzzleloader or anything else ... archers must wear Orange during the rifle season, and (I think, mebbe) during MZL season ...
Archery tags are good anywhere in the state, and with this license, good for any deer in the state, even for y'all NRs ...
This is today's press release from ND G&F ...
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department will have 1,305 any-deer bow licenses available to nonresidents in 2010.
The number of nonresident any-deer bow licenses available is 15 percent of the previous year’s mule deer gun license allocation. The Game and Fish Department issued 8,700 mule deer licenses in the 2009 deer gun lottery.
The department will begin issuing any-deer bow licenses March 1. All applications received on or before March 1, 2010, will be treated equally. If more applications are received than there are licenses, each application will be assigned a number. Numbers will be drawn to issue the licenses. Applicants who request to apply together as a party will receive one number. Additional numbers will be drawn to establish a waiting list. If returned licenses become available, these applicants will be offered the licenses.
If licenses remain after March 1, these will be issued daily on a first-come, first-served basis.
