Well lucky my daughter told me she wants to have her first elk mounted so I will get the slush fund built up before then. I had planned on her first deer if she wanted it done so I wonder how much an elk is going to cost me.

By the way, on the way to work yesterday we seen about 50 head of elk. Right next to the road. A couple of 6x6s & 5x5 and so on. It happens so often that some times I forget to rub it in.

Go ahead and rub it in, LOL!!! If I had to make a guess, I would say a good taxidermist will charge anywhere from $700 to $1000 for an elk shoulder mount nowadays. It's like everything else in that you get what you pay for!!!

Find a good one to do her animal bud. Look at his work carfully. Once it's done, you can't change it.
