deadeye, It was just too bad about having your boy along in bad shape, otherwise, it could have been a great story. I'm sure that your determination would have gotten you over there and got that "second bear to get your dander up" Good luck my friend, season is not over yet. He will still be in the same gen area, go and get him.

No regrets here. His excitement was worth it. Kinda glad he was there to hold me back. That bear had his spot picked out good. I may have been able to get down wind of him after about a 2 hr. climbbut he was so close to the brush he prolly would have heard me coming up through the brush. Might have worked and would have liked to see how it turned out but the season is over for me. Unless my buddy bails on me on our fishing trip. No wories. There is always fall season.  And I have a pretty good idea where my first days off are going to be spent.

Well, My buddy didn't get ahold of me. I get one more shot at the bear. Taking the camper and staying for a few days. I think I'm gonna camp out right above that meadow.
