Monty, he's a toad and a trophy! Congrats, I would take that big boy all day long! Kent

I don't think there's too many people that would pass on that big fella. What a beauty. Congrats.
Good luck, be safe and shoot straight

DANDY one, Monty!
I sure wouldn't have passed him up ...
HOWever ... enuf about the "deer" ... tell us more about the "dear" in the second foto ...
(I may be too old and too married ... but I still enjoy the scenery ... that's a VERY nice smile!)

Congrat's Monty. I don't think I would have let him walk either. Good mature buck. Save one for me for next fall would ya?

thanks guys its a great buck...but i was holding out for a bigger. One in particular that is massive we have seen him off & on. The "dear" is my GF.....one of my cook's for bear camp....she love the outdoors. & yes that is the "average" buck that i harvest....but we have bucks harvested that hasn't reached that maturity yet....every person has to make decision on what is "trophy" & then have the will power to let smaller walk past. To each there own.

True Monty, to ea his own and the trophy class is in the hunters hands. Quality mgmt is done by the property mgrs and the rest is up to the hunter. Any deer to me taken with my stick and string is a trophy in it's own right. Especially those old does. They are worse than any buck I have ever gotten.
