nail one in NH

I got one in NH but, came up short in Maine. Shot one the first night in NH. It came in right at dark, had to shoot quick. I hit him a little far forward but, it took out his shoulder. Hunted 3 days in Maine and the wind killed us. I did bring in one to us but, I was using my bow and couldn't get a clear shot. He was only 15 yards away to my back. Would have been a easy gun shot. That was on the second night. The wind swirled every night.

Did you hunt that place in Maine of the guy from the BB on the other site? No I didn't. Went with a small outfitter that a friend of mine had hunted with the passed 3 years, filling his tag every year. It was just alot of small thing not going our way added up to not getting a bear. I'm glad I hunted in NH with my buddy. May have come home empty handed :(.

Nice bear Car, congratulations. Maybe you will have better luck next trip. Besides like you said, with a bow the game really changes. There are a lot of gun opportunities that you can't even think about with a bow. Steve Albers
