thanks guys - I have 3 more tags good for blacktails (2 in Oregon, 1 in Washington); and 2 tags good for whitetails (in (Illinois) - so I hope to have a few more chances to get some antlers

snytrophyhunter It's true. Horns make for a thin soup. and, to tell you the truth, my teeth aren't as strong as they used to be - I don't think I could get much out of gnawing on antlers!

Mine neither. They have become the porcelein type these days. I have boiled and broiled and soaked some small ones for hrs thinking they would be tender vittles and still were hard as a rock. LOL!!!!!!!!
