Dropped off 200 Muskrats at the NAFA open house last weekend. They will be auctioned off in Jan. Caught another 200 Mrats & have them frozen. When its cold & miserable out in Jan. will have to get them skinned & stretched. Can't wait to go catch some more when it warms up !!!!!! hope the prices are good

I didn't realize you were into that with all the other stuff you have going. That's a lot of rats and I hope you get a good price too!

That's a lot of skinning. Price of rats has been up the last few years.

Ya Topgun I have always ran a trapline off & on . I have started on the coyotes agian & will have to go trapping some beaver as well. Beaver prices are still low but need some for bear bait & i get a kick outa catching them. This past springs flooding has caused a Muskrat population boom.....so i thought i might as well get them while i could. I know last years prices where good on Mrats. hope the market holds till end of spring season I got a ton more out there to catch!

I wish I had the time and money to get back into trapping. The coons and fox are starting to get thick around here again. Plus the skunk population has been booming for the last 3 or 4 years. Maybe if I do good ginseng hunting next year I will have the money. Now as far as time I am trying to get another job that is a 8 hour daytime job. Hopefully things work out and I will get it. It would be nice to be back on days and it is more money!
