Yep ... that's how I learned a lot of whut I know about shootin' critters ... Unfortunately, time & distance constraints sorta keep us from passin' on the experience to our grandkids ... gonna werk on that in a couple of weeks, with the granddaughters ... gotta get 'em some experience for deer huntin' ... Do you have many of the "13-lined ground squirrel" variety (We allus called 'em "Stripeys") in your area? Nodak is called the "Flickertail State" after the Richardson's branch of the family, so they seem to be more common ... but each has its own territory ...

yup..we got stripy gophers but I don't shot them. They are not as populated & don't make a mound at there den entrance like the Richardson's
