he state has no spring season, but, I'll be hunting on Indian land, where it is legal. Wish me luck, this is only their second year spring bear hunting.

I'm going to north central Minnesota, to a 2 bear zone.  Haven't been there for 3 years, but last time I got a nice black with a white "V" chest, in the 250 pound range.  I burned bacon grease in a 2 pound coffee can, bear showed up in about 15 minutes.  It was amazing.  I took that one with a rifle, but I'm into archery now, so this year it'll be me and my trusty bow.

Sounds great, good luck with the bow. Were you hunting in the fall?

Planning on hunting in Pa. during the two day archery bear season and then the three day rifle season if I don't score in archery season. We can't bait and it makes archery hunting bear extra tough.

This fall, I am hoping to go to northern Newfoundland to hunt moose and bear. This has been a dream hunt for many years but my work prevented it.  It still does but I need to go. Beautiful country to enjoy along the trip.
