Well for starters, a good location would be real nice. Without baiting, going into a strange area looking for a place to setup to bow hunt bear makes the odds not very good.

Joe said greatest population of bears is southeast WV. With Randolph County harvest at 231 bears.- Webster at 145, Fayette at 143,Greenbrier at 128. For public hunting Monongahela National forest. Becky creek wma 1930 acres Huttonsville wma 2720 acres Beaver dam wma 37,674 acres Cheat wma 80,771 acres Otter creek wma 68,782 acres Kumbrabow State forest 9,474 acres.
