bear 1 hunter 0 - Tuesday, December 02, 2008 12:17 PM ( #1 )
Well I went to WV bear hunting this year. On the last night I was hunting a bear came in, maybe 15 yards. When I drew back my bow. the limb of the bow hit the arm on the climbing stand,(first time hunting out of a climber).  The sound sent the bear running. He did stop at 35 yards and gave me a shot. Must have hit a limb, the arrow only went in 3-4 inches. Very little blood and the arrow came out after the bear had ran 20 or so yards. Maybe next year will be better.

Yes g3bears,I screwed up bad. That is the first time I've had a bear get away. Not that I 've killed that many. Just every bear that I 've shot at I've got. I had the old boy close but, no cigar. I should have had him. It really sucks to travel out of state to hunt bears and let one get away like that. Shame on me.
