Youth Cliniccs - Tuesday, December 15, 2009 9:32 AM ( #1 )
I have a post in the elk forum of my son's recent youth hunt... which got me to thinking.... (a dangerous thing)

Who could I contact to setup a youth clinic for beginner bow shooters/hunters?

I've been told our local DOW administrsation would not be a lot of help here, so I was thinking
I might be able to set something up on my own.
I would like to keep it a free clinic, open to begining bow hunters, preferably youth and women.
I believe I can get a location for the clinic free of charge or at least cheap enough that I would
be able to cover the cost on my own.
As far as a range... we have a local free to use rifle range that they just set up with a bow area. 15, 20, and 25 yd straw bales for targets. Plenty of room for 10-15 shooters to use with little to no problem.

Any ideas or thoughts?

We have one semi bow shop, and I don't think they would be of much assistance.... at least in my dealings with them.

Thanks
Mike

See if there is a local NASP (National Archery in the School Program) and get in touch with them. They may be able to lead you in the right direction. Good luck.

Yeah... we have nothing local with NASP.
Jim Bugler looks like he heads this up for CO though... maybe I can get him to lend me a hand.

Thx Txbhunter....your help is much appreciated
