Wyoming turkey - Wednesday, June 03, 2009 7:22 AM ( #1 )
Here's my Woming turkey. We hunted with Thomas Ranch Outfitters in Wyoming. Four of us went and 4 turkeys went down. Also got 3 in South Dakota the same weekend. This was my first Merriams and my first long beard! What a great time we had. Would recomend this outfitter to anyone.
Love hunting, but love your family more.

Thank you. It only took my traveling from PA to WY to get a long beard. Next year i hold out in PA for a long beard though.

Congrats to you. I took one in Wy 4 or 5 years ago. It is a little different hunting birds in Wy vs here in Ohio

Nice bird Braze!  I hope to harvest a Merriams one day.  Heck I would like to complete the slam before I take a dirt nap!
Love playing that string music and sending a Muzzy flying!

I've got to get an Osceola yet, but it's not high on my list of things to do.  Of the other three I've taken, I think the Merriams is by far the prettiest of them!  I hope to go back out after another one near Mt. Rushmore next Spring.

One of the guys i went with completed his slam on that trip. It was really cool to see that. Maybe some day i will accomplish that goal, gotta let the kids grow up a little first though.

Yep, Top, I like the Osceola's too, but not as much as I do the Merriams!!!  Guess it's the white feathers...
I'll be happy to get my "slam"....Eastern (done), Merriam(dreamin'), then Osceola (more dreamin'!!)!!  It's all good!!
Definately cool sharing a hunt with someone completeing a "slam!"
