Update on Tred Barta

I'm not sure how many of you have ever seen Tred's shows or not, but for me, his way is alot in the same as mine. I'll do it my way or no way. Well several months ago, Tred was stricken with a "Spinal Infarction". Basically it was a sopinal stroke that left him parallized from the waste down. He has been in the hospital since then and is doing well. I listened to an intrerview on the versus ch. tonight on here and his spirits are high and excepting the hand that he has been dealt. He has raised almost 2 million dollars for the kids with diseases and now needs all of our help. His doctor bills have amounted to well over 500k and with him not having an income now, he is starting to feel it. He had no insurance at the time of his setback. He has not and will not come out and ask for help because of his pride, but we as a whole (Sportsmen and Women alike) need to lend a hand. If any of y'all would like to help, you can send a donation to: Anni D Barta Medical Fund For Tred Barta Wells Fargo Bank P.O. Box 567 Eagle,Co. 81631 OR Vail Valley Charitable Fund P.O.Box 1275 Avon,Co. 81620 Please Mention "For Tred Barta" This one is a charitable fund and tax deductable. Thanks Y'all In Advance Gary P.S. You can check Tred out on his website at: www.tredbarta.com

I just read some follow up on this. It was originally thought to be a spinal stroke but it turns out it was a condition known as Waldenstrom's Disease, an illness that thickens the blood. He still can't use his legs and is confined to a wheelchair but Versus channel did renew his show for next year. Glad to hear he's making the most out of this terrible situation. I always admired the man and this just adds to it. This is more proof that we can't take anything for granted. dodgeman_29

Saw a video of him on another forum site and he was in a wheelchair working out how to optimally shoot his longbow to continue hunting on his show from the chair. Tred is not gonna let anything keep him down!! Way to go Tred!
Love playing that string music and sending a Muzzy flying!
