Our first gun season is tomorrow morning. I am gonna be in the blind with my daughter. I just hope that one comes out that she can get a shot at. I hope more it is that monster that we have seen the last few years.

Well day one gone no deer. We did see one young buck but could not shoot. If Brittni gets one that big I will be a very happy dad.

Wow, I finally am able to post on here again. I don't know what the problem was. Anyway opening day last weekend was not bad. I was the only one in camp with a doe permit so needless to say I didn't see any deer except two pair of legs walking through the thickest brush near my stand. Vern took a five point, Dennis a seven and Tom passed on a little four. They all had doe walking around their stands all day long. Heading back up on Friday for another shot at it. Good hunting all!!!
The freshest tracks still have feet in them.

Today was the first day of our Ml season. Sat all day saw 5 doe and 1 small 8 point buck.
Deer were moving good have a storm bringing in rain tomorrow. I am going to put up my pop up blind and try to stay dry. Good luck all.

Hey strangers, yes I'm still alive & kickin'!!  Been awhile...
Anyway, was lucky to get a doe in the early NY archery season and a 9 pointer 2nd day of our gun season.  Both were taken on my property from 2 different stands, but died in the same place!!
By the way...as recently as last Sunday, a bigger buck was seen by the same stand/area on my property, if anyone's interested...
