Thank the lord the forum is back!!!!!!!!!

Hello all my hunting buddies!!!!!! Thanks goodness this is back lets get talking about bear hunting. Over the last couple of months I have decided to get a full body mount of my bear anybody have any good ideas. I am thinking of having it stand on all fours with the front legs on a stump and a crushed beehive with the mouth closed of course tell me what you  think. Also any hunters that will be coming up to NW Minnesota if you need a staging  area let me know!!!!!!! So happy to have you guys back!!!!!!

Glad to have you back.  The full mount idea sounds cool!  It should look awesome. 
 
I have always wanted a full body mount with a big rainbow trout or salmon in the mouth of the bear, but the beehive idea would be cool too.

No... I've had a serious shoulder injury that has bothered my for the past 8 months.  I thought I was going to undergo surgery, but it is starting to heal up.  What a relief!
 
From what Monty told me he will begin hunting for bear in June this spring.  With spring coming in extremely late the last few years, I don't blame him.
 
Hopefully, I'll be able to hunt this fall.  We'll have to see.

WoooooHoooooo! We're back. No bears to talk about but I did kinda wrecked my truck looking for one. I side swiped a fence post wrapped in barb wire.

It's great to be back. I sure missed this site.

The last email I had from Monty was that he had pushed back the hunts up there because of the last two late Springs.  Now this year it warmed up real early and I would bet they will be lamenting that they should have been there several weeks ago!  You just never know what Mother Nature is going to do.  This is the warmest, earliest Spring up here in our area that I can ever remember and it's the same way up north of us into the UP!!!

spring came really early
ice out in April
already been in to both lakes & put out bait...put out camera on 1 & first night with 10 pictures!
heading back in this week.
following week clients
will fill you in when i get back home
good luck to everyone out for spring bear hunt.
 

MONTY---Good luck and be safe!  I will be waiting along with the others to see how the hunt and fishing turns out and I wish I was there to get it first hand!!!

It was quite the struggle and I screamed, yelled and pulled a lot of my hair out over the past 5 months, but it looks like we FINALLY got everything ironed out.
