Took this nice Rio Gobbler opening day in March in South Texas thanks to Gary Scheel setting up the hunt. That's me and my soon to be 88 year old Dad in the picture. I also took a nice hog the same day and that picture is in another Forum.

Hey Top, Long time - no hear! Congrats on the Rio, but moreso on being able to still have your Dad to get outdoors with. My son and I went down to Florida this spring and I was lucky enough to get in front of two nice Osceola Tom's, and Matt took a very nice one himself. Had a great time with my best hunting buddy, who happens to be 32 this year...WHOA, where does it all go... Anyway, I am blessed to be healthy and have my son to hunt with. I can see that is true with you and your Dad. Hopefully in another 38 years, I can be posing in a picture just like yours! Kent

That was the first time Dad had been on a hunt in the last 7 or 8 years. He didn't even take a gun, but just sat with me in the blind as his eyes are getting to the point where he didn't want to wound something! When I shot a hog right between the eyes at about 85 yards a couple hours later and it laid right down he looked at me and said something like: "You can sure shoot a lot better than I ever could!" This coming from a guy that hardly ever missed a duck or pheasant on the wing was just too much!!! A picture of us with Gary and the hog are on another Forum in here. That may be the last hunt we get together and it will be cherished the rest of my life and I owe it all to Gary for setting it up! Thanks my friend---You the man!!!
