An amended bill (HB 968) to allow the use of crossbows in Texas' archery-only hunting seasons passed the state Senate yesterday and must return to the House for conferral and floor vote before it can head to Gov. Perry's desk for his signature. So, I wonder now that this is going to pass, will the kills be deemed as bow kills? I certainly hope not, unless they are done by dissabled or person's not able to use reg archery equip.

Gary---Don't worry about whether they will be recognized as bow kills or not. All it will do is tick you off and raise your blood pressure if you do, LOL! I don't look at "The Books" to see what was shot with what weapon, but rather just look at the animals themselves.

Top, As you can tell, I take my bowhunting a bit more serious than most and take pride in anything that I can get in close enough to put an arrow through. I do not pay attention to what weapons either, but feel if is a legit kill with a x-bow by a person of who is not capable of reg archery and had to use a x-bow, then hooray for them, and I'll shake their hand, not so sure about the rest. LOL MPO
