Still have openings

We still have 5 openings for a TN Hog hunt in Noveember.
Here's the deal...we got the Lodge again for 4 nites (11/6/08 arrival to 11/10/08 departure day).
Best part of all...I locked in the exact same rates for the hunt that we had on last hunt!! Susie said likely rates will go up early spring so I thought...go for it Loggy!! ;D Need $100 Deposit to confirm & if you kill...price is $625(100 Deposit plus 525 Trophy Fee) same as last hunt.
Any of the original 11 that wants to confirm...our reservation has now on the books since Nov 23 when I posted in the Preliminary Survey Thread.. Just post in this thread if you confirm. If you call, hunt is booked under Larry Smeltzer's 11/6-11/10/08 Booking.
The hunt will be capped at 14 which Susie is aware of.
Any questions...PM me if your interested in joining in the hunt.
Thanks much! I look forward to another fun hunt!!

I did not make it to last years hunt, due to changing employers, but will be there this year. I plan on hunting the first day and 1/2 with my bow and then if I haven't tagged I'll switch to the smokepole for the final day and 1/2. If you can make it give a PM and I'll make sure you get the required information.

Tennessee like most Eastern states requires a tag on all big game taken. We had to tag them after field dressing and before moving them. These are free ranging hogs.

Tastes just like the pork you get in the store.
Only additives you have to worry about is some trace amounts of lead

Todd
I'm VERY interested. Can you send me information: what to do for lodging, ditto food, how many days, what part of Tennessee, what dates, any license fees and how much, etc., etc. How much for a 2nd hog ? When you say the hunt will be capped at 14, are you referring to the number of hunters ?? How large is the hunting area ?? Is the hunt spot and stalk, bait, or ??? Anyone use a caller ??
I went to Texas last December hunting hog on a game ranch. Hunt was fair chase and the hogs were wild O.K., but the size was shoat class. Very disappointing. We hunted over feeders that didn't work, all kinds of disappointment. So, I'm a little nervous about another hunt, but your pics are great, and I am jumping up and down to go again. I'm 67 y.o., but in good shape.

For any of you that have never eaten wild hog, it is better then store bought. It is much leaner and better for you than store bought also. There are so many hogs down here that I have not bought a porkchop from the store in over 10 yrs. You just can't beat it and it gives you time to be in the woods when all other seasons are closed. Here we can hunt them 24/7/365 with whatever you want to hunt them with. Any of y'all that have never run them with dogs should give it a try. It will let you know just how tough you are, or send you running for the nearest low hanging tree branch. LOL
