hey guys sorry for the hold up of some pictures Here is a 6 footer who didn't win a fight with another bear this spring & came away with some character marks. His front pad was torn open too the bone & the top of the paw had teeth marks & full of infection. numerous head & neck wounds with the one big scar down the front as you can see from the picture. would have been a show to watch them battle it out. Dave filmed multiple bears...I stood on top of the bait barrel & tied a hanging bag of goodies on a leaning tree about 8 feet off the ground. later that day he filmed a huge male walk in stand up & grab it by his teeth & walk away with the bag.....he was thinking it would give him time to film before he harvested the monster ! but the big brute never came back that night so he arrowed this nice 6 footer McKenzie Outfitters

Got held up with bad weather & float plane finally arriving to do jump over to other camp/lake after successful first week at other camp. Went to check on bait sites before clients arrived at noon..... & walked into a favorite of mine & bait barrel had been emptied out over last couple weeks since I was in last for fill up. threw in 5 gallon bucket of bait in barrel & picking up tools & turn around & have large black with white spot on chest walking up behind me at 10 yards.......COOL great big bear.....client will tag out first day on this guy!!! I walk out to boat & lowering motor & about to give tug & the boat rolls to side....turn around & big blackie is trying to climb in boat!!!! I tell him to **** off & wave paddle at him & he sit down to watch me pull away. Dropped off Vic at that site & he shoot 6 foot + bear with in hours..while he is waiting for us on the lake chore to come get him & track his bear. He turns around & has the spotted one charging him& popping his teeth!!!! he even shoot in the ground & the bear keeps coming at him !!! little excitement for first time bear hunter! they like to bluff charge. any how we ended up taking 3 bears in the 6 foot to 6+ range from that single bait site in 4 days but no one got my big blackie that charged Vic & also tried to climb in my boat! oh well maybe this fall or next spring!

hey TXB
thanks....& to answer your PM question yes i plan on always outfitting & guiding.
have no intentions of stopping......I still got opening for deer/duck/coyote this fall & also bear/wolf fishing.
I was talkin with Steve about expanding......but i enjoy workin with the cattle too much to expand the outfitting more....& can't be both places at same time.
& i don't want to take on more tags as I hardly get time for hunting myself as it is!
here is more of the bear pictures from that same biat site
why isn't my pictures bigger?
& why can't i post more then 1 at a time?

Monty, Will the seasons allow for a combined deer and bear hunt in the fall?
