This is the hog I shot while on a visit with my folks down in San Antonio in March. That is me, my Dad, and member Gary Scheel, who set up the hunt with a friend of his who had access to the ranch an hour south of town. It was a great time and I finally got to meet and hunt with our top poster child, txbhunter1 himself, LOL!!! Thanks for the great time Gary and hope to do er again soon my friend!!! PS: If you click on the picture, it will enlarge so that you can see our ugly pusses better, LOL!

Yep, it was a motley crew alright, LOL! We were on a small private ranch owned by a relative of a friend that Gary met on another BB. They set everything up and we had a great time down there. Dad is almost 88 and his health is starting to fail, so it may be the last time I get to do a hunt with him. He was sitting right beside me when I shot that hog and a nice Rio gobbler earlier that evening that is pictured on another Forum. That made his day I'll tell you! I'm eternally grateful to Gary for setting that hunt up for me and my Pappy and finally getting to meet and hunt with him too!!!

I'd do it all over again to my friend. We all had a good time down there despite sometimes the weather not cooperating with us. The biggest joy I had was getting Mike and his father together to hunt again. Like he says, It may have been his last one, but....................if he is around anytime you want to come down, we'll get er done again. duck, Hollar at me and we can get something put together for ya.
