Setup for bowfishin?

My parents found a bow at a yard sale for five buck. It has some creaks when I draw it, so I don't think it will work for hunting. I'm considering setting it up for bowfishing. It needs a new bowstring. What do yall recommend for equipment to get it set up to shoot some carp?

Thanks. I forgot I posted this. Between moving, and getting married, the bow got put in a closet and forgotten about. It's gonna go in my truck today so I remember to take a different route home and stop at a bow shop.

Thanks. We went camping at a lake that's got a ton of carp this weekend. The bow is going to get checked out this week so I might be able to have it ready when we go back in about a month. The new wife loves the outdoors stuff. She loves fishin and campin and is gonna be our camera man when we try to film duck and goose season this fall.

Finally took it to get looked at. The guy noticed something I missed. The lower limb has a bulge in it. He told me it's just waiting to blow apart so it went in the dumpster as soon as I got home. Back to square one. Got any suggestions for a good starter bow that could be used for bowfishing in the summer and hunting in the fall?
