Ok, I just got an email from my bud up in Helena. He says hes been working up there where this happened. The name of the road is Rising sun. I believe there is a town also named that where he is working. I am assuming that it is near Glacier national park. The wardens found the animals and took the picts. And some road crew workers had some of the original picts. They showed them to my bud. There was a close up of the sheeps face that was pretty greusome. There were some others of broken legs and such. not pretty.

We have fought this for yrs here and I think they finally will allow a person to keep an animal that hey hit with their veh. It is the least they can do for the damage caused. I think it is still up to the descression of the officer though. When Wi. passed the law you could keep what you hit, everyone I knew went and mounted their spare truck tire up front of the grill,  LMAO then came the brushguards.

We've had a "keep whut you hit with your auto" for a long time in Nodak ... mostly tho, the stuff is busted up badly enuf that nobuddy bothers ... there's supposedly a $3 "fee" that the investigating LEO should collect, but I don't think I've ever heard of one where it wuz actually paid ...

A guy hit a moose with a school bus (after it bounced off a car in front of him) ... but he gave it away to some other guys ... DANG! I HATE IT when that happens ...

that reminds me of a crazy guy I used to know - he nearly killed himself trying to hit a deer he saw crossing the road

this guy was a real scum-bag poacher, too

I knew him, but we definitely were NOT friends
