I figured I would have my skull and rug back by now. I friend of mine saw the rug 3 weeks ago and said it looked good and was almost done. I'll post picture when I get them back.

I had the skull done by someone else and it should be done. I talked to the guy that was doing it and he said it would be a few more weeks and that was 3 weeks ago.

I couldn't wail any longer so I called last night to check on the rug. My taxidermist is in BC hunting :( I'll have to wait until next week to find out.

I feel for ya man. When you shoot it and have your hands on your trophy, you can't wait to get it to the taxi and then afterwards, can't wait to get it back. LOL

Still not done. It needs the matting put on. I think we are going to look at it tonight while my friend from Wy is here.

I did get to look at my rug last night. It seems to be around a foot shorter than I remember. Anyone have this happen to them?

I was not the one that put a tape on it but, I was told it was 6' 0". That was after it was skinned out.
Now when I looked at it the other night I just took the tape from the tail to the nose not following the contour of the head and it was 5'2".

They can strtch them back to the origianl length after tanning process. Most wants accurate measurements before skinned.

Sorry it has taken so long. The deer hunting is driving me nuts. So here is the picture of my rug.
