Guys,
Check this one out. This is a 10/22 with a special bull barrel that shoots blanks to launch the arrow. It is accurate to 5 arrows in a 1in groups at 50yds. Should we allow this also as archery equip? It shoots an arrow!! I think not..............
Here is the link to check out the addition to your 10/22:

Well I may not have alot of say in the archery world since I've only harvested 1 very nice doe (dressed 169 lbs) with my bow,but me and my boys have spent hours shootings targets and even if my job don't allow me to hunt like I want, My classifcation would say we have crossed the line with this one. Yep, and it is all arrow that kills the animal, so eligible for awards. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, it is a cool weapon, but has no place in the acrhery world, or even close to it.

What will they come up with next a 300wsm that shoots an arrow at 600fps!! I think it's a sweet toy to have, just forf@%*ing off in the backyard or whatever but never in the hunting world.

Guys,
Here is another pic from their website that irks me to death. Where will it stop? This buck looks big enough to make min book size. Will it, or could it be entered as an archery kill? Not in my lifetime by my rules. They have more monster bucks on their website taken with this weapon. We as archers need to never let this be accepted as another tool in archery. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth..... I would never use a firearm to launch a arrow. In fact, I would feel personally disgraced and humiliated to hunt in such a manner and call my self a bowhunter. The hunters in those pictures should ashamed of themselves. I would rather give up a hunting trip then hunt with anyone that would use that method. Whats next, hunting with an RPG during muzzle loader season???

Look at the website. They make one in a Remington 700 and also one for underwater. I agree with both of y'all. I'd just as soon give up the sport I love than to stoop down to this. You read their salespitch and it goes on and on about how good a "Game Management Tool" it is. My a#@#@%$#%$#

Bowman, respect you fully bro, but for me, that isn't even a cool product. The most ridiculous idea for pimping out a product simply for money. It has no benefit or allure that I can imagine for anyone that is a true hunter, much less a bow hunter. What do you gain? A range of 50 yards? no benefit. Quietness?, certainly no benefit. Accuracy? I just don't think so. Okay, I give them...novelty. Novelty and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee in your thermos, if you add $o.75 to it. I just don't think we should give any credence to products like this. Another product to give the anti's something to **** about. MPO, of course. have a good one! Kent

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way about this product. In my opinion, it should have never ever been allowed on the market.

I agree. This is ridiculous in every way, shape and form. If you are going to use a "gun" then use an actual gun , but not during the bow season. Geez!! Take care and Good Hunting! Best Afield, Steve

This one kind of goes hand in hand with the laziness between not having the time for reg archery equip and a x-bow as far as I'm concerned. Same cenario.

Is this thing even legal to use on game anywhere? It's kind of like harpooning game isn't it? Might be fun to shoot at targets, but should be illegal for hunting. Talk about giving archery a bad name and it's not even archery equipment, what next laser guided systems. Steve Albers

Well, PSE has kind of gone 1 step farther. This should propably be put into the x-bow section, but I wanted you all to see what one of the leading mfgr's of archery equip. is getting into. This is for all of you guys that have AR-15's and M4 type sporting rifles. Check out the following website:

Yeah, everybody needs to convert their AR over to a crossbow. Way to go PSE, are you trying to give firearms or archery a black eye. Wait till the anti wing nuts get a handle on this smart move. I'm glad I no longer shoot a PSE bow, why do they need a crossbow that resembles an assult rifle. The anti's consider any semi auto firearm an assult weapon already, now you give them the ammo to consider crossbows assult weapons also. Sorry, just venting again. Only my opinion, take it as you may. Damn Gary, you sure can find things to fire me up. What did I do to you. lol Steve Albers

Steve, You fired up, how do you think I feel when I got a call from a friend of mine telling me he was buying one? That was how I got the website. I went off on him and told him he was just like all the other lazy sob's that do not want to take the pride in the sport of archery. Sorry man for the firing of your inner ****ed offness. LMAO

Maybe I'm just too sensitive about what I think is right and wrong. If my buddy that is having the shoulder issues showed up with one of those things, I'd have to disown the old fart. I just bet you had a sudden impulse to hurt someone when you saw that on the web didn't ya. Hope your buddy was just yankin your chain when he called, probably deserves a whoopin either way but damn that would have had to be funny if he was jerkin ya. LMAO Steve Albers

Steve,
Don't get me wrong now, I don't absolutely condenm the x-bow styles for hunting. If you are unable to use tradtional styles due to illness of dissabilities, I'll hunt with you anytime. The problem with me is that when capable individ's go this route and are fully capable of the traditional style of hunting, that's where I have issues. It fits into the lazy catagory as far as I'm concerned. MPO Here is what the PSE addition looks like.

Unbelievable isn't it? Sad thing is that there are people who are going to buy this thing. TAC...Tactical Assault Crossbow
.
Let's take it into the future...... 25 years from now PSE will make a drone hunter that you can control from the comfort of your coach on your TV screen or from your PC monitor at your desk. Spot your game on the live zoom camera or IR camera and launch a "smart" projectile to down your animal, drive out later and pick it up....
Progress is not always a good thing folks. Just because you "can" build it doesn't mean that you should. Just my .02
