Picture of my Bow buck - Friday, October 30, 2009 1:02 PM ( #1 )
Well, couple of weeks ago I was bow hunting on a 30 yd wide strip of beans. There were 17 deer in the field at one time for a while until a pack of wild dogs ( not yotes ) came through. All were does/yearlings/fawns except for 2 small bucks. About 1/2 hour before dark, I saw bone moving in one field corner, mostly covered by branches and leaves. I could pick out 5 on one side, later it looked like there were 4. I thought there were 2 deer, an 8 and a 10. Couldn't really see enough to tell, but they (it) stayed in the corner horning and pawing and pushing each other around. To shorten the story A LOT, there were 2, but one was a small 3 pt and this 9. When they fed out into my first shooting lane, I was at full draw. I told myself, 'I don't need to shoot that deer...he needs another year'...well, I guess I had a cramp in my shooting finger and well, here he is! He tipped 235 on the hoof.

Looks plenty big enough to me, judging by the grin on your face, I'd say he was big enough for you as well. Good job man!!!!!
