Picts of this weekend - Thursday, May 28, 2009 12:31 PM ( #1 )
Here's a few picts. of our camping trip. We found a few elk that I was able to get within 150 yds before they took off. We got more picts. of other elk including 2 lone bulls, but it was too late and they didn't turn out too good. Others were too far away.

This was after the mulies busted me. Everyone decided to leave the meadow. The mulies watched me from the time I got out of the truck till I got that close. I guess that was thier threshold. By the way, this is the same meadow I seen the big bear in last week.

Rik,

Looks like a beautiful area, exactly what I had in mind for my next move someday. Your very lucky bro...

That is a very nice area. Get your map out and find White Sulfer Springs. It is due north of Livingston which is on I-90. The town is totaly surounded by mountain ranges. I was in the little Belts which are huge. Lots of exploreing to do there. Plus you have the Bridger Range, Big Belts, Castle mountains, and the Crazy mountains. Not a whole lot to do in White Sulfer but you have Helena on the other side of the Big Belts, and Great Falls to the north of the Little belts. This area has everything Montana has to offer. Including Grizzly and Wolverine.

Yup, got it. Around 50 miles due east of Helena. Looks very nice.
