PSE Mossy Oak 'X'

Just acquired this bow last weekend. I was looking for a bow in the 60 to 70# range as my old bow(also a PSE) was maxed out at 60#. The model I purchased is the 2008 model with the new PSE HF(hybrid fast) cams installed. I have been shooting this bow since then and love it. The draw was a little stiff at first, but after a few days of shooting the draw smoothed out and I am shooting very accurrately out to 50 yds with it. Shooting through the chrony with a 409 grain arrow and my bow set at 28" draw and 65#, I'm getting 306 fps, which to me is phenominal, my old bow was at 228 fps and KE of 45, my KE with the new bow is over 80. The main reason for upgrading earlier than I usually do(usually don't change bows for 5 years) is that I wanted the additional KE for elk and bear hunting. I'm now very confident that I will not have any problem with brining a good sized bear or an elk down with this setup.

That's great I remember when i got my new bow, it was like getting a new sports car. It is crazy how far bow technology has came in recent years. Glat that you like it and good luck.

Todd,.. I know just what your talking about! I had been a tried and true "instinctive" shooter using my BEAR Super Magnum recurve @ 63 lbs. for over 25 years. (Showin' my age AGAIN. ) My first compound was also an older Bear ONE compound, 55 lb draw weight,.. on the heavy side, held the cold temps forever, and was a bit big for a "bush bow". I shot this bow for about 4 years and started looking for another one. I picked up on a 2005 Ben Pearson Diamondback it's a 70 lb compound bow but I have it set down to 65 lbs., very short axle to axle, VERY quiet & VERY FAST ! It's like I stepped out of the stone-age into some land from the twilight-zone. I chroney'd it at 312 fps shooting my 29 inch Gold-tip carbon shafts tipped with my 125 grain Montec G5's. Using the shaft selection device online offered by Easton shafts the KE worked out to 79.85 based on my draw length, lb. weight bow, and total grain weight of arrow and broadhead. This bow is unbelievable in my mind, I've never shot a bow this FAST and QUIET,... and as turns out DEADLY !
