PF 10-GUN RAFFLE TIX

Hi, gang ... OK ... PF banquet next weekend (Oct. 22) ... the 10-gun raffle is running again, and sum of y'all supported our Knife River chapter last year ... NOT pushin' on these, but anybuddy interested can let me know and I'll get 'em a ticket ... I kinda doubt they'll sell out before next Saturday, so tix will still be available @ the banquet and I can take "orders/requests" up until the time I shut the 'pooter down before goin' to the festivities (that'll be about 5 p.m. MDT -- or, if y'all have my phone #, a call up until about 8 p.m. or so should still get a ticket) ... I fergit whut all's on the list, but it's a bunch of decent items ... name brands, nothin' REALLY exotic or expensive, but can always serve as tradin' stock as NIB, at the wurst ... Memory makes me think there's prolly a 10/22, sum shotguns and various rifles and at least one muzzleloader "kit"-type deal ... tnx fer yer past support, and tnx again for any future considerations ...

"O" I still have your address and phone # from last year are those still good? I would like 2 tix. I never win anything so that should up the odds for everyone else.

U-betcha, wey' ... unless I win a MAJOR prize in the various lotteries, I doubt my address will change any time soonish ... we like it here, and don't contemplate movin' to sum other venue ... HOWever, should we win huge amounts of money, I'd suspect we'd still live here in Beulahla, ND and still have the same PO Box ... I'll mark y'all down for two tix ... the mail doesn't hafta arrive here before Friday for it to count, and I'm thinkin' I still have yer phone # in my speed-dial, so IF there's a winner frum Indiana, I'll call y'all as soon as practical (metal building, cell service may not be too good, but I can allus go outside with the News Bulletin ... )

Cool, wey' ... I've got a book reserved, with five to seven tix gone (dependin' upon whether Son #1 and I take one or two each -- but that total includes your pair), and I'm reasonably sure there'll be a few more still unsold @ the banquet, for any late responders ... I'm gonna be callin' Topgun in a few minutes to see how his fessunt hunt is goin' in southern Nodak ... plans of the moment still include a strong possiblity I'll be able to get down there to do a bit of visitin' and possibly shootin' sum cackle-birds with him on Saturday ... Good to hear frum y'all, wey' ... and tnx muchly for the support of our local PF efforts ...

Hey guys! I'm back from my 7 week trip and am really pooped (the dog lost 6 pounds and I lost at least 15!!!)! I had a great time, shot a decent number of birds in ND (not as good as I had hoped for because they were hammered the first week on the public land and most were on private property during our hunt). I passed on small mulies in Wyoming and New Mexico and ate both tags. However, the highlight of the Wyoming portion of the trip was this monster 369" bull we got opening morning (10/9) of the rifle season. The two weeks we bow hunted in September was very slow and this big guy more than made up for it!!!
Jamie, I have your $20 check for my two tickets on my desk, but don't have your address, so as soon as you can send it to me I will get it in the mail. I guess none of us on this BB were lucky winners, but I know the money was for a great cause!!!!

Glad to see you made it back safe and sound. Thats a good looking bull. Eating tags will not get those 15 lbs back.

Nice bull my friend, congrats. Eating tags is not all bad, but they sure don't fill you up much. Experiences and memories is what it's all about. Done it more times than not and keep going back. LOL!!!!!!

Hey, Top' ... and y'all ... I'm "back" also ... so tired out I din't even think of turnin' on the 'pooter until tonite ... I should've gone with Top' and lost about 40# ... BTW, I've been eatin' a tag or several every year ... adds fiber to the diet, but that's about all ... sorta interestin' how stuff ... um ... "develops" ... now that Nodak has gone to the Tyvek-type tags for big game ... um ... mebbe y'all wanna ignore that entire concept ... I'll send y'all a note with my snail-mail addy, Top' ... Gettin' ready for 2nd weekend of deer huntin' if I can get sum sleep between now and Thursday morning ... Oldest grandson, youngest daughter and Son #1 each tagged a deer last weekend, but the one I hit sorta disappeared in the CRP ... so we went back to town to warm up, and get the 4x4 ... the water situation back home is like nuthin' I've ever seen before (in 50+ seasons of huntin' deer) ... and it wuz COLD out there, even with my snowmobile suit on ... and the ponds and coulees sorta suddenly appear in the headlights, so it got a little muddy, too ... Did NOT find him, and looked again the next a.m. ... nope ... I'll prolly find his skeleton when I'm sprayin' weeds next summer ... the coyotes were doin' a lot of singin' every mornin' when we wuz out there, so I'm perty sure they made a meal of him ... Also saw the BIGGEST 'yote ever ... body larger than a German Shepherd ... Son #1 missed him/her, and I din't wanna shoot toward the neighbor's yard, so it's still runnin' ... This weekend is huntin' the Nodak Badlands areas with MB(RH?) and Langley ... Muleys should be easier to find ... or so I'm hopin' ...

In rct. of yer check in Saturday's mail, Top' ... we wuz gone huntin' and too tired to turn on the 'pooter yesterday when we got home ... Hunt went OK ... we put two in the vehicle on Friday, but Langley din't get any real chances to take a decent shot in our three days (well, parts of three days) out west ... close a couple of times, but either worng species or too distant for her small caliber ordnance ... she had fun tho, as did we, and she's nearly back home by now, with plans already brewin' for the 2011 season ...

Oh ... nuthin' really worth takin' a foto of ... so I din't bother ... If I can find it, I'll try to put pix of Son #1's 4x4 of opening weekend, and Grandson #1's button buck on here ... if ... might've already lost 'em in the fone ...
