OK ... so I managed to FINALLY hit one!!! Shoulda had more than several before this one ... tooken me a dozen shots to connect, get the rust outta the system, meet the expectations of Desi ... y'know ... the usual stuff with which hunters are plagued when they don't get outta the house enuf ...

Yah, I sure wuzn't doin' very well with the Sweet Sixteen ... not the fault of John Browning ... merely thinkin' too much ... Got a "late" start ... about an hour after shootin' light ... went into one corn patch after a half-dozen guys pushed it ... NICE rooster got up in front, a bit jumpy, but Desi had already got him sensed ... shot and shot and shot ... missed and missed and missed ... Next spot, sorta different deal, but same results ... Finally went to "new" Honey Spot ... BUNCH of bodes got up, and not ready, or thinkin' too much, and then FINALLY ... then a bunch more got up ... good place for one or two hunters and one dog to have fun ...

YAH, wey' ... we like it too ... it's half mine and half belongs to Son #1 ... long story ... I've done well with it (until Saturday), but S#1 has yet to fire a shot @ a bird with it ... I'll prolly hafta let him take it home after next weekend, and I've had my fun with it ... We sorta lucked into this one, got it for whut we thot wuz a reasonable price ... it wuz built in 1929, and I really like the way it shoots ...
