One more week to go
-

I'm standing down this weekend. Back to the range tomorrow to get a little practice in and double check the sights. I'll have all my gear packed up and ready to go for next Friday. In the mean time I'll help around the house, complete my chores and help the wife so that we'll be ready for a crowd on Thanksgiving. The only thing left to do for opening day is grocery shopping and a lot of cooking. It's BBQ for next Friday's dinner. Pulled Pork, slaw, baked beans, mac & cheese and a big jar of bread & butter pickles. There may be a little bit of beer and of course a welcome to Deer camp shot of Johnny Walker just to get everyone in the proper mood. I'm excited for this season. I keep picturing that big twelve walking up to my stand. We'll see how it goes. Good hunting all!!!!

I'm sighted in, all packed and ready to go. Now I have to work a few more days before hitting the road.

Well good luck guy's, I'm sure both of your will get over those ailments soon. Still waiting to drop a hammer here, haven't had an opportunity on a good one yet. Maybe I'm getting too picky in my old age, but hey, I've shot deer before and since I don't have to fill the freezer, what the heck. Will carry my any deer tag till the end of season if necessary then shoot a doe in the antlerless season. Besides the work begins when they're on the ground. Steve Albers
