Nocturnal Lighted Nocks

I have used just about every lighted nock out there and have settled on the nocturnals. They are about as fullproof as they come. Never have had one "NOT" light when shot. Well last weekend at 7:15am, I shot a wierd spike and when I got to where he jumped the fence, I found the top portion of my arrow, minus the nock and bull collar. Yesterday morning, on the way to that same stand, I saw a green glow coming from that very same spot I found the top portion of my arrow last wknd. It was the nocturnal still glowing. Now doing the math, I come up with 168hrs and still working. If that don't give you a good feeling for your nocks, nothing will.

Hey, I agree. From a reliability standpoint, Nocturnals are foolproof. They work every time you shoot. What I have found, though, is that with a pass-through shot, you often get blood inside the little switch and you can't turn them off. If you could run them under water and wash that out it would be no problem, but I just am not sure if that is a good idea or not. Otherwise, i recommend Nocturnal!

They are called Tracer Nocks Monti. I have tried them also and they seemed to work well. One issue I had was that they needed to be shutdown if not used and restarted when I wanted to use them. That and having to go through many, many pkgs to find a set of 4 that all worked. A couple of times I have hit bone solidly, the batt sections seperated from the light itself. Game over for that one. You can check out some of the DIY videos on youtube and you can actually make a nock almost identical to the Nocturnals. Just do a search for lighted arrow nocks and several will come up. Good luck man.
