So, since picking a bow and doing some stick throwing, I have begun to really enjoy myself. I was hoping to pick up a left over tag for archery season this year in Colorado.... but alas... The leftover license list came out yesterday....no bow tags available. I think with the economy, those that might skip a year of hunting has forced many more to hunt for meat to help feed their familiaes. I've noticed that there were a lot less tags available this year after the draw than I have ever seen before. M

So... in doing some light reading on the Colorado DOW site... I came across this. Since I was never a bow hunter previosuly, and would like the opportunity this year, I figured reading up on bow reqs was a good idea.... Does this read like I think it does. It's saying I can buy a normal OTC tag for rifle season for bull elk, AND still buy a cow elk tag? http://wildlife.state.co.us/NR/rdonlyres/3F234E0F-9A7E-4E36-9263-7DE1CE74B424/0/index_information.pdf You will need to scroll down to the ELK info for the licensing info. Thx for the input M

I believe that's right, except for the trophy drawing zones only.
