NY Coyote Attacks May Be Related 4/17/2009 Police officers in North Tonawanda, New York, in Niagara County were forced to shoot and kill a coyote last Monday after the animal attacked a 31-year-old man taking an evening stroll. The man was not injured; the coyote carcass will be tested for rabies. Three other coyote attack incidents have been reported in the same area in the past three weeks, but police do not know if the attacks were made by the same coyote, according to the AP report.

You don't hear about unprovoked coyotes attacking very often. That's just wierd.

I agree, they normally high-tail it when confronted by humans. I'll try to stay on top of the story, we may find out that this was an animal that had rabbies and just went crazy.

I would bet it had rabies.
