McKenzie Outfitters offers fair-chase trophy bear, whitetail and waterfowl hunts in the the wilds of Manitoba. We outfit for bear on true untouched, unspoiled, pristine Canadian Shield country! Our trophy bear hunts are strictly fly-in only.

Our bear hunts are 7 days from Sunday to Sunday with a capacity for 8 in camp. While in camp all your meals & needs will be met with a cook, guides & camp staff. Our two camps are run alternatively so you are not hunting a pressured area. All access to bait sites is by 16' aluminum boats safely commandeered by our guides. Tree stands range from bow to easy rifle distance from the bait site so you can enjoy watching bears come and go while waiting for the one you are looking for. We also offer trophy fishing at no extra charge for monster pike and walleye.

McKenzie Outfitters offers archery Whitetail hunts on a sprawling cattle operation, family-owned and operated for three generations. The operation is nestled along the picturesque Souris River.

The local deer herd is extremely healthy with a good buck to doe ratio. We concentrate on mature bucks 140-inches or better with good mass and let the younger ones reach their potential. We typically have 100 percent shot opportunities on bucks with 5x5 or bigger racks with a success rate nearing 25 percent. We have dozens of tree stands set up before your arrival and we can always adjust as we go to meet your needs. Ground blinds are in place where trees aren't just right. With the rolling terrain you can also still-hunt or spot and stalk.

The bow season starts in late August and extends into the first week of November. The early season allows for a chance at a velvet buck and the opportunity to hunt some truly impressive bachelor groups.

Mid-season finds the bucks still together but polished up ready for the up coming rut. We set up enroute from bedding areas to their preferred food source.

Late-season separates the bucks from their bachelor groups. Rub lines predominate the edges of alfalfa fields and lead back into the coulees. We set up on major rub lines and scrapes between bedding areas or crop land.
