There is a new "King of Bucks" on a farm in Wisconsin. His name is "Sudden Impact" and last year he scored an estimated 406 at 3yrs old. Follow the link below to watch him grow. He is still in velvet right now and looks as if there are trees on his head!

Goliath passed away last year so this is the reigning king.

HOLY COW! you talk about walking around with a sore neck all the time. That is incredible.

This is not right in my opinion. Messing with genetics is not the natural way of life. Foodplots with good protein and things are a bit diff. They let mother nature do its own thing with the animal. I understand everyone wanting to harvest a "Monster Buck", but don't y'all think that is is more of a prize if mother nature grows him, instead of test tubes. I agree this is an awsome animal but he must also go through life in some kind of pain as his body and muscles are not suited for this kind of headgear. MPO.

I wouldn't worry to much about it Gary, I think someone got a hold of a bunch of those felt/cloth raindeer headbands gags some folks put on their dogs for X-Mas pictures, glued them together and stapled them onto a doe's head.
Youre right I do not think you would see that extreme of a deformity in the wild. Wonder if you ate that deer if you would wake up with all sorts of things growing out of you.... can you say "freak"

This is what I like about this forum, never a dull moment with you guys. LMAO
They do that kind of stuff down here in Tx. and really grow some freaks. Not natural...........They are actually ugly and even if I could, I would not hunt one in an enclosed area or in an area that one was released just for the sole purpose of harvesting just to swell my nads. LOL

Gary, This deer is pen raised and cannot be scored for any record books. His "seed" however can be passed along to deer all over the nation. If the outfitter or whomever can actually afford it. All they have to do is dart a doe and do some artificial insemination. Is it right and ethical? Who knows. It is not illegal so who's to say. I hunt for meat and not for trophy. But if this beast was walking through my woods and not behind a fence...whooooooo boy! Of course I would have to change my pants or you would have to cut me out of the tree after my heart attack!!! LOL!

They can Tina. That is what Gary was talking about. If you have some does you can dart and can afford his s**** then you can have his genetics in your herd. If you want to artificially inseminate them. I would rather wait for one of my does or small 8 points to pass under my stand than spend all my hard earned cash on Sudden Impact jism. Of course he is nice to look at!

I don't know how many of y'all remeber or have ever seen the deer "Stickers", but he was grown on a ranch down here and his se*** was sold for 150k per shot with no guarantee's and if memory serves me, he was actually sold to another ranch for over a half mil. Or the one grown on the Omish farm up in Ohio? He was suppose to have been the largest ever on any farm at one time. If you ever look on the web for the Texas Trophy Hunters, you can get to some of the breeding stock they have down here. Rediculously priced. You can even buy the already breed does from some of the freaks.

I totally agree with Gary on this one....It isn't natural....Anything to do with passing on his genes anywhere isn't natural...Any type of pen raised deer farming isn't natural....High fenced "so-called hunting" isn't natural.....This type of activity has nothing to do with hunting as it should be....Even deer farming for urine is against my grain....If a hunter wants doe urine he should carry a collection bottle with him when he harvests his does.......Or if he is real good he can walk behind a wild one and wait for it to squat.... I agree that it ain't natural but until they outlaw it, someone will do it!

Some will think I'm crazy when they read this, but I think that those type of racks are ugly and they do not turn me on in the slightest. The poor SOB can't even hold his head properly when he tries to run because the neck muscles are not there to hold that heavy rack up. If his rack gets any bigger, he will probably die of a broken neck!!!

You are not crazy top. I feel the same way. They are un-natural and yes they are UGLY!!!!!!! I feel for the poor guy. When you watch him run in the video, you can clearly see his rump comes up everytime he hits on his front legs, more than a normal deer's would. Sad............

I like hunting in S.IL. Pulaski Co. it is NOT known for big deer , sure every yr. a few decent bucks are taken . no monsters . I like it that way , and I agree with what ever shows up , last yr. I did shoot a spike but I could tell it was a big deer and to me that meant at least 2 1/2 yrs. old and he was , big deer 190 pounds but spikes that were maybe half inch thick and 18 inches on one side and 14 on the other , now I can tell when a spike is a yearling and those I let go , unless i want some veal . No trophy deer ,means nobody wanting the land where I hunt . Pressure is light in the area so the deer are not doing 180 miles an hour . Had that happen to me in WIS. one time , pretty funny , opening day on public land bow hunting , was almost run over a few times from deer running around . Anywho the old saying is , you can't eat antlers .

Amazing deer no matter what. To some it's ugly to some it's beautiful. If it was a wild deer i know i wouldn't pass it up.
Love hunting, but love your family more.
