Judging by that belly I think he may be even older than 4 1/2. He's survived many a hunting season. Only chance to get him will be bow season I think. After that he will disappear. He's not the biggest buck on the property either. Bullwinkle is a fourteen point with double drop tines. We can never get a picture of him but he's been seen twice over this past month.

My buddy Tom does not give up. After about 300 hours of pursuing one deer the BIG BOY finally made a mistake late Friday afternoon. 5 1/2 years old, green scores 151 and possibly the largest Buck taken in the State this year. Only time will tell if that holds true. Nice work Tom!!!!

Well good for him! That shows a lot of hunting is persistence alone because if you aren't there after them you sure as haydes aren't going to shoot one! Tell him congrats, as that's a beauty!!! When you get time maybe you can fill us in on his hunt that night that ended in getting that big rascal.

Well Tom knew that this deer was bedding nearby on one of his neighbors properties. They have some very large tracts with thick undergrowth. But this big guy kept showing up on the cameras nearly everynight a couple of hours after dark. After Tom left the stand of course. Tom hit that stand every morning and every evening for weeks just waiting for this guy to show even passing on a number of smaller bucks throughout the season. Persistence pays off. Tom worked really hard for this buck and deserved getting him. Tom plans a full shoulder mount with a swollen neck. It's going to be an awesome mount.

Congrat's to your buddy man. Nice deer!!!! Hard work, persistence and dedication are what makes us successful hunters. Passing on smaller bucks in hopes of the "Giant" walking out or making a mistake are some of the things that drive us to the woods every yr.
