Are any of these units good Steve? Just curious since you have hunted Kansas before.

tx:

I've never hunted Kansas before, but just about every unit/area in the entire state holds some great bucks.  The southeast and southwest corners are pretty good.  If you concentrate your efforts in the south you would probably do well and it would be the closest areas for you coming from Texas.

Take care and Good Hunting!

This seems to be a common occurance around the country. With the economy as it is, not so many of us are traveling anymore. I have a farm I have hunted in Ill for the last several years. The Ill dnr increased the alloted NR lottery tags for archery over the last couple of years, but this year, only just over half were applied for. Everyone got them and the rest are FOR SALE. Capt Bill will be happy about that low application rate, and I fully understand his point of view. But if anyone wants to hunt Ill this year, it is a given on tags for now.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

I hear that loud and clear!  I've been calculating and scratching and saving and trying to figure out how the Hatties I am going to afford to hunt all of the places that I am scheduled to go to this fall.  It is going to be really TIGHT, let me tell ya!!  I may have to borrow a lot and break out the "fantastic plastic" for a few of the hunts.  Not good... Not good at all, but heck, if my business gets into trouble all I'll have to do is wait for a government bailout!    I did not just type that out loud, did I?  LOL!

LOL!

Thanks, Jeff!

That's usually my wife's observation -- funny and scary -- also whenever I get involved in one of my projects.

Take care and Good Hunting!
