Just A Reminder

Hey Y'all, Just a freindly reminder before y'all climb into those stands that were left from last yr in your favorite hunting spot. Check all your straps carefully for wear and tear, little varmint marks will land you on your lid in a heartbeat. Check the straps on your climbing sticks as well. "USE YOUR CLIMBING GEAR PROPERLY AND STRAP IN ONCE IN THE STAND". I want y'all here at the end of the season with all kinds of stories, pic's, lie's or whatever. Just make sure you come back safely and in one piece. Gary

Thanks for caring Gary, that's what makes this site special. I had to move all my stands so checked straps while doing that. Also found that a couple of bolts had to be re-tightened while in the processing of moving them. And I always use a harness when off the ground, would be harder to sleep if I had to worry about falling out of the stand. LOL Hope y'all have a great season. And thanks again for the timely reminder. Steve Albers

Very good advice. Ya'll have fun, be safe and shoot some big ones! I'm heading for Wyoming on Friday and won't be back home until about November 8th, so have fun and I'll see ya around the campfire when I get back!!!

My home made seat broke on me the last time I went out. Seen it coming though so it wasn't a surprise and I didn't end up on my topknot. I built the platform extra sturdy.

I've had some like that from the old days when I used to make my own. They would sit in the trees for yrs with plywood platforms and nylon straps attaching them to the trees. Scary after awhile. One more thing to check also is your ground blinds. Open slowly, especially here in the southern states where wasps and "JakeThe Snake" like to hang out. You just might get a surprise when you unzip the zipper. LOL!!!!!!
