I'm new to UOA, but not new to hunting. I'm 67 y.o., currently live in Iowa, but have hunted in nearly every state in the West, including 3 times to Alaska, and in Minnesota. I've been a hunter safety instructor in Iowa, California and Colorado. I've taken W.T. Deer, Mule Deer, Elk, Turkey, Wild Hog, Rattlesnake, Antelope, Caribou, 3 black bears in color phases, most small game, most upland game, snow and Canada geese, etc. I hunt with bow, 44 Mag handgun, rifle, shotgun and blackpowder more or less as the spirit moves me, but my favorite is my bow. I reload all my own rifle, shotgun and handgun ammo. A couple of years ago I became involved with the T/C Encore, got a trigger job on it, and sold most of my repeaters and now use the Encore as my sole rifle of choice in 223, 243, 270, 30 T.C., 30-06 and 338. I moved to southern Iowa near Chariton last year and retired, but having a hard time finding places to hunt, and people to hunt with.
