Interesting new tree stand....

Saw a picture of this tree stand, not quite sure what to think of it. Personally, I always liked stands that blended into the environment, but that's just me.

Did you see the finished produst of that? It's insane. They put a full deck around the front of it complete with BBQ grill and spotting scope overlooking a field.

Does he plan on hunting or camping? Pretty cool setup for the north, at least you'd stay warm inside!! LOL

Back home last fall, when we were huntin' moose or deer, several of my neighbors had variants on that ... a blind/box/whutever mounted atop a combine or grain cart ... movable, and quite solid ... and some of their little "cabins" atop the poles were also a bit larger than average, even includin' the chairs ... but no TV sets ... Sorry ... wasn't too excited about seein' such, so I din't take any fotos ... However, I have a similar plan for our old popup camper, when we acquire a newer outfit ... take it to the farm, park it, remove the "tent" sides and replace with plywood (camo paint job, of course) and yank the wheels off for use on my other trailer ... not large, and some plannin' to do, but a solid little huntin' shack ... tho I will NOT put it up in the air, like that one ...

Wasn't raggin Gary, I'm a Southern boy myself. What is that saying? "ingenuity is the mother of invention". It is actually a good idea, I would just like it more if it was concealed or camo'd to blend in to the natural environment. I know you were just busting my chopes though, it's all good. Martin

Them neighbors of which I made mention, with combines and grain carts as foundations (?) for their stands are hardly "southron" boys ... at least a couple of 'em live within a mere few miles of Canada ... And ... the rest of us kinda giggled at their "ingenuity" ... but it works!

I wans't trying to poke fun of anyone. I'm actually jealous of that stand. Be nice to watch some shows and grill a steak while waiting for a deer to come through. With that stand you could actually do some practice shots on the porch while waiting. LOL

I've decided I like this idea so much, I'm gonna expand on it ... Gonna look around for a 5th Wheel camper ... and a tonner-dually to pull it ... That'll look perty good up there 12 feet off the ground, won't it?

O, I was hunting in Illinois one time and saw a camper cover up on stilts covering a stand a few years ago, but not the whole dang thing! That's crazy! It would work though - was the fridge plugged in too?

Well, think about it, with a couple well placed solar panels you could have enough electricty for a small kitchen, TV with satellite dish, etc. You could lierally go for a couple of days to a week or more depending on the amount of supplies. Your little hunting cabin in the sky...

No, in the south a reg yankee is one that goes home and a dam yankee is one that stayed.
