Indiana Bow Hunt - Monday, November 09, 2009 7:25 PM ( #1 )
Hi guys thought I would tell you a little about Shadows hunt here last week. First day here was 29th Oct. spent first day unpacking, visiting. I had a bunch of ?s maybe to many. Had high temps 2nd and 3rd day 70s for the high 20 mph winds. Then temp dropped to 50s for highs 30s at night. and deer started moving. He passed on a nice 8 pointer waiting for something bigger. had many doe encounters. we kept moving from spot to spot playing the wind. when wind switched so did we. tried 5 different places looking for 3 particular Bucks. of witch we never saw. Nephew (Buckwhisperer) took a doe shadow helped track it down with us. I lost 2 treestands one was a 15 foot ladder stand I put up in sept. had it in good spot. Shadow brung his climber with him I told him he didnt need it on this hunt i already have one set up for you when we got there someone had liberated my stand so he hunted from the ground that evening. My other stand was a Loc on with climbing sticks. told Buck whisperer he could hunt out of it. when he got there it was gone also. he hunted from the ground and took a doe that evening. tried to get pics but batteries were dead on camera. other than that I had a great week. will let shadow tell his story. He is very good hunter did everything right to take a big buck. When he left the woods it was like he was never there only boot tracks remained. Even my camper was cleaner than when he arrived. I had a wonderful time and am making plans for next year. My opener is sat. Have an ex marine from West Virginia coming in friday. he was in marines with Buck Whisperer and has been hunting with us for 6 or 7 years. I am on vacation for 2 weeks got my eye on a certain buck gonna give him my whole season. plus try and take a few does out of the herd. Be careful and good hunting.

Good luck on the deer hunting man. Glad y'all had a great time hunting together. Good hunting partners are hard to find.
