WK---I got a call from Captbill this afternoon telling me that you guys got your permits for 4/16 to 4/21. He's going to contact you about the hunt.

Just to let you guys know, I have permission for you to stay at the deer camp for turkey season. I know it is not the best place in the world but it will be free and it is usually quite.

That should not be a problem for me unless they start our season earlier than they usually do. Our DNR turkey info. and applications process will not be on line until 1/1, but the season will probably start on 4/19 and I can make your dates unless they move the kids hunts up that I mentor. They shouldn't be until the following week if they do things like they have in the past. It's at a military installation, so I not only have to wait for the DNR season dates to be posted, but also wait to see what Jonathan puts up on the Ft. Custer website for the kid's hunt dates that I mentor. I'll let you know ASAP, but it will be a while.

Same here Willie!!! I can't wait to get down to Texas and meet Gary for some hog hunting a few weeks before the turkey seasons start up your way and here in MI! I'm sure we will have a lot of fun as Captbill is a hoot!!! I had a blast wih him and Karen out on the big lake last June!!! The hog and turkey hunts will be the start of another busy year in the outdoors for me!
