IBO 3rd Leg National Championship - Sunday, July 06, 2008 5:27 PM ( #1 )
I will be attending the IBO 3rd Leg National Championship this weekend at Nelsonville, OH.

This is my last hope for a top 20 finish and an invite to the World Championship in August.  I have a good bit of momentum going into this tournament and should do very well.   My last three shoots have been really good, I had a 25th place finish at the R-100 two weeks ago and shot a 247 last week and a 242 today at local shoots so I feel I can make that top 20 this weekend.

Good luck to anyone else shooting in the IBO National Championship this weekend.

Do a shoot here in Michigan.  I shot at the Tuscola shoot didn't shoot that well but got my invatation to shoot the world.  I guess it also depends on what class you are shooting.  If you have any other questions let me know.  Also best of luck to you in the upcoming shoot.

RE: IBO 3rd Leg National Championship - Saturday, July 12, 2008 9:42 PM ( #4 )
Just returned from the 3rd Leg IBO National Championship in Nelsonville, OH this evening.

I spread the shoot out over two days this time, the heat and humidity was unbearable for me out there.  I t was 90 with 95% humidity both Fri and today.

I did fairly well, despite having a pinched nerve in my left hand which left me with my ring and pinky fingers paralized.  I shot a 318/400 with 2 X's on a very tough course that contained alot of uphill, downhill and sidehill shots.  I'll have my fingers crossed when the shoot results are released later in the week as to whether or not I will be going to Worlds next month.

Hope everyone else who shot this weekend faired as well or better.

Results were released on Monday and I did fairly well for my first year on the National circuit

I placed 137th out of 300 at the 3rd Leg in Nelsonville.  This wasn't good enough for an invite to the World Championship, but I sure gave it my all in the attempt.

They also released the National rankings as well and despite only shooting in the 2nd and 3rd legs of the national I am currently ranked 128th out of 300 for the 2008 tournament year

The benchmark has been set and I'll be looking to improve on that in next years tournaments.

Thanks andy.

I'll be switching to my ASA setup next week for our state championsip, depending on how I do I might hit the national level here as well by getting the Classic in Columbus, GA on August 8 thru 10th

I'll post up how I do next week at the States.
