Hunting Night Lites for Bows - Monday, February 16, 2009 9:43 PM ( #1 )
Has anyone used either the Archery Affliction "Stabalite or the Hawglite "Marauder" for nighttime hunting? I am looking at getting one of these for bowhunting hogs at night.

I haven't used either of them, but I heard they're both good.

The Stabalight looks cool, but it has a not so cool price -- $89.95!

Best of luck to you!

Take care and Good Hunting!

Yes the stabalite goes for 89 and some change but the Marauder goes for 119 and change. I just ordered the later of the 2. It is suppose to shoot a beam of light out to 60 yds and have a beam size of 15ft at that distance. With most hogs being nocturnal, it gives a hunter a chance to sit longer during the deer season and other times and have a chance to harvest a hog from the same deer stand. I just like the thought of being able to extend my hunts.

I think with a stick and string and this big fellow standing in front of me after dark, I would have ot not make a sound for fear it could climb the tree.  LOL

Got my Hawglite Marauder in the mail today.  Already got it hooked up on my bow and ready to go. Man does it shine a light beam.

Sounds like a good setup, might have to try it myself.

I shot my bow until 10pm last night with my Hawglite. Guys, if you are into hunting at night for hogs or whatever, this is the way to go. I can shoot all the way out to 40yds easy at night with this light. Then add in my lighted sight pins and it might as well be daytime.  The beam is still strong out to 60yds. Not that I would shoot that far at night but it is nice to know. A bit pricey at $119.00 but guys, it works well. I had an issue with the batt holder being a little sloppy in the light tube and rattling a bit and they are sending me a complete new one. I just have to send the old one back when the new one gets here. How's that for service. 1 email and done. Here is the website to order one for yourselves: www.hawglite.com. Give it a look see.
