I'm stuck at work all weekend again so I have to hunt through you guys. How did everyone do this weekend? Last weekend of archery for me, next season is Nov 14. Wouldn't ya know I happen to have some time scheduled off on Nov 16. 16 days of swamp stompin for me

I would trade a 16 day run for missing a weekend. Good luck!!!
Love playing that string music and sending a Muzzy flying!

We are in our week lull between archery and rifle. Since I already shot my goat I had to go to Billings with the wife and celibrate our anniversary.

So I'm not the only one constantly twitching waiting for this week to pass. I've even decide I'm getting a muzzleloader this year just to help fill the voids between seasons. Get all the kinks worked out this year and then chase em with a bow and smoke pole next year.

Spent the weekend huntin' fessunts with the gang, but we did see some whitetails and muleys ... it wuz cold, windy and rainy on Saturday ... we got a few, and missed several ... same on Sunday ... had a good time, and the dog wuz so excited she would've run her ownself into an early grave, if we hadn't been too tired to keep goin' ...

rik, even the wife needs some of that time. It makes the time in the woods so much better afterwards. LOL ko, Welcome to the world of smokepoles. You will have a blast and it, in alot of places, extends your hunting season. Here in Tx, I usually bowhunt the entire gun season as well as the archery only. Then come the second week of Jan, we have a muzzleloader season where we can take spikes and does only. Freezer meat time then. Take a doe early bow season then head hunt. Come Jan, time to fill the freezer. LOL

With the NC smokepole season going from 1 week to 2 weeks this year, I considered getting one. But I just decided to stick with the stick and string until modern rifle comes in. rik...keep momma happy and it can lead to a few more hunting trrips! LOL!
