OK ... here's MY part of the story ...

The guy (Mark, he werks with MB(RH?) and sent her the pic) who sent this foto KNOWS the guy with the filled elk tag ... it IS a Nodak elk ... 

Of course, it's circulating, and some ... questions? ... have come up ... HOWEVER ... as far as Mark knows or can tell, it's real ... 

Here's the elk hunter's story:

This is freaking scary.  As you know I was alone when I downed this elk in ND.  I was using my camera’s timer attached to my shooting stick to give me enough time to get into the picture.  I knew there were a lot of cats in the area but had no idea they would come in this close to people.  He had to be within 10 feet of me and I didn’t even know it.  I about crapped my pants when I looked at the pictures the next morning and saw he was there.

Keep in mind that I'm a professional photographer ... tho I'll admit to not knowin' enuf about Photoshop and other stuff to detect any undue manipulation and/or testify to the authenticity of a completely unaltered digital image ...  but ... the eyes of the cat kinda bother me a bit, tho I can also think of more than one explanation as to the why of the "glow" ...

I do think that the entire scenario is quite possible to be true ... but ... I'm not sayin' that in court ... altho the guy (Mark) knows him, and can think of no real reason he'd try to create a fib outta an already successful hunt ...
