Hey Guys,
These are just a couple of pic's of the hogs we got this last weekend with the dogs. The boar had some good cutters.

The boar and sow together. The boar went a bit over 220 and the sow was about 120lbs. We got another big boar on Fri night that went about 200lbs also.

Were you running them at night? There were some guys doing that with dogs and they were riding mules down where we used to lease 1000 acres near San Diego. They weren't supposed to be on the place we leased during the deer season, but we know they were and it did not help the deer hunting!

that must be some way to keep fresh meat - tie it up and keep it alive until you're ready to cook it!

Since hogs do not have sweat glands to keep them cool, it is best to tie them and get them back to camp and keep the water running on them until you are ready to dispatch them. Then they are fresh and good eating. The sooner you can get to them with the dogs the better also. If you have to run them alot to catch them they get the adrenaline running and you have to take care of them quickly and bleed them for awhile to get the wild out. It is a rush guys. Y'all need to try it one time and you'll be hooked.

TX, those are some nice hogs, looks like you had a great time. You can only hunt hogs in a very small portion of PA, but sometime I'm def. going to have to try that. bow_hunt

bow_hunt,
Go get you some bro. You'll love hunting them and more fun eating them. That is the best pork out there. Lean and mean and taste great. I can get you in touch with my bro-in-law out there. He lives in Bensalem, just north of Philly and is always looking for someone to hunt with. Let me know if you are interested. Y'all could try the Tioga game ranch for the first outing.

Hell guys, if I can get a 71 yr old grandfather of 8 to do it, anyone of y'all can too. "Stick for bear" huh? I think my bite may be a bit worse than his growl..........................so I'll use my teeth. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If any of y'all want to watch some video of last weekends hunt, go to ushogoutfitters.com and see for yourself. We have a young boy take his first hog with a knife. It is his first ever kill with any weapon. And please, do not put me in the same catagory along with the guys with the bad haircuts. LMAO......................
