FERAL CATS - Saturday, April 18, 2009 7:04 AM ( #1 )
Well less one wild stray cat. We have been seeing this stray for a couple weeks. He come up at dark and attacks our young tom. Last night my wife seen him so bang. No more trouble from him. That was one big tom cat he must have been pushing 30 pounds. Kind of makes me wonder if it was mixed with bobcat. I mean but body, the weight, and it had a huge head with puffy cheek hair. Does anyone no if that can happen I have been told that a bobcat will breed a tame cat but can't prove it.

Holy snikes---a 30# cat.  I've seen a lot of bobcats in south Texas that wouldn't break 30#!!!  I have no idea if they would interbreed, but I assume it is possible.

NOT speakin' as a wildlife biologist, but I'm fairly sure I've heard of documented cases of the wild variety interbreedin' with domestic kitties ... seems as if I heard/read about it sumwhere long enuf ago so that I'd hazard a guess that it wuz in one of the Big Three magazines of an earlier era ...
